We understand the increasing demands on working families. As an organization committed to building strong kids, we believe that it is important to provide an opportunity for children to work on homework during program hours.

Time will be allotted and a quiet area will be provided each day for the completion of homework. The Y staff will be available to assist children with homework but are unable to provide one-on-one assistance for extended periods of time.

It is the responsibility of your child to know their homework assignments and to bring all necessary books, paper, etc. to the program each day.
Kids spend a large portion of their school day inside classrooms so we make sure After School is active! Whenever possible, please send your children in clothing that allows for play. Please mark all belongings with your child’s name.

We have a lot of great things planned during After School so please make sure your child leaves cell phones, toys, video games, etc. at home. If a child is sent to the Y with these items, they must remain in their bookbag. The YMCA is not responsible for any personal items lost, stolen, or damaged at our programs.

School issued chromebooks and tablets are permitted during homework time only.
All childcare payments are made by automatic draft. Weekly payments are drafted each Tuesday for the week prior and are required regardless of attendance in after school. This is to ensure your student has a ‘seat on the bus’ each day.

Separate registration is required for full-day in-service days and holiday camps. We will send out registration links for these programs in our regular monthly e-mails.

In-Service Days

The YMCA will provide full day care on pre-scheduled In-Service days based on the school calendar.  In-Service times are typically Monday-Friday, at various locations.  There is an additional fee for this.  Parents should register their child for In-Service days separately from the afterschool program.  Please keep in mind that once you register for In-Service days, you will be charged for those days regardless of attendance.
