Togetherhood

JOIN US AS WE GIVE BACK!

Togetherhood is a member-led Community Service program featured at each of the Easley, Pickens & Powdersville YMCAs.

Through Togetherhood, we’re building a stronger community! Neighbors and community partners are engaged in our cause and work side-by-side to identify and address community needs. Members enhance their well-being, forge new friendships and discover a greater sense of purpose.

The program is run through our YMCA branches as a partnership between a committee of members and a Y Staff Advisor. Each branch selects its own project.

Togetherhood is designed to be a simple, fun and rewarding way for members to give back and support their neighbors through their own ideas, skills, energy and the network of the Y.

Volunteer now and help make our community a better place!

Easley YMCA

Socktober was a project that saw members collect and donate socks and underwear for people in our community. Socks were distributed to families in need through United Christian Ministries, and underwear was available to families through the Dream Center.

Pickens YMCA

Give BACK (Board Games, Arts & Crafts for Kids) gave members the opportunity to donate new or gently-used board games, arts & crafts supplies, and Legos for elementary through high school age children to help support Miracle Hill Children’s Home.

Powdersville YMCA

Play It Forward helped impact our community by helping boys and girls, ages 10-14, have the equipment to play sports in which they are interested. Members donated new and gently-used sports equipment that was provided to both Powdersville & Wren Middle Schools.
