WHAT IS A PERSONAL TRAINER?
A trainer’s job is to examine a client’s current fitness level and to set up a program that will keep that client focused and motivated. An individualized program will include strength training, weight management, cardiovascular exercise, nutrition advice and flexibility training. The trainer will push the client to achieve a goal that might be difficult to do on his or her own. If you are interested in training with a family member or friend please see a Wellness Director.
WHAT IS A SESSION LIKE?
Each session lasts 30 or 60 minutes. Your Personal Trainer utilizes your health and exercise history, your short and long term goals and your measurements to create your workouts and helps you focus on proper exercise techniques that will help you achieve your goals. The trainer assesses your progress and implements changes as needed.

Easley YMCA: Beast Mode One on One Sessions
Are you looking to work on a specific skill or movement? Are you looking to build strength in your olympic lifts? Or, are you looking to work on some gymnastics movements?
One on one Personal Training time with one of our CF L1/L2 coaches is NOW AVAILABLE. We offer multiple packages from a single session to multiple sessions, each session is for 30 minutes. No prerequisites are required to get started. This one on one personal training is great for anyone, from the beginner to the seasoned athlete.

Pickens YMCA Personal Training Session Policies
At Pickens YMCA, we strive to provide the best possible experience for our members. To ensure that we can maintain a high level of service and accommodate all our clients, we have established the following cancellation policy for personal training sessions:
- No Shows: If a client does not show up for a scheduled personal training session without prior notice, the session will be considered as completed and will be debited from the client’s package.
- Short Notice Cancellations: If a client cancels a personal training session with less than 24 hours’ notice, the session will also be considered as completed and will be debited from the client’s package.
- Late Arrivals: If a client arrives late for a scheduled session, we will do our best to accommodate the remaining time. However, the session will end at the originally scheduled time, and the full session will be debited from the client’s package.
- Non-Transferable Sessions: All purchased personal training sessions are non-transferable and cannot be used by another member.
- Session Expiration: All personal training sessions must be used within one year of the purchase date. Any unused sessions after this period will expire and cannot be refunded or credited.
- Current Member: The individual using the sessions needs to be current PCYMCA member.
We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can occur. If you have a genuine emergency, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate your situation.
